Co-op Insurance approached us looking to create a data-based dashboard for their young driver telematics service.

The Challenge

Having previously created Co-op Insurance’s telematics-based quote engine back in 2012 they required a new data-driven dashboard to help their young drivers visualise their driving behaviour. This dashboard needed to appeal to this younger audience but also communicate important telematics information and notifications.

Site architecture

We know that in order to design an intuitive platform, it is essential to have a clear information architecture and content hierarchy. We carried out a detailed analysis of existing user behaviour to get an understanding of how the new system should be structured. This research also identified other opportunities where Co-op Insurance could engage more with their customers, to build relationships and increase conversions.

Customer research

Our research stage identified the need to ensure customers could access all their statistics and data as quickly as possible. A clean, personalised dashboard was created following usability tests with potential customers where customisation was important to them. This helped us defined the different views and moveable widgets.
